Bug reports, account help, purchase questions, and product feedback

Quick facts Behold supports iPhone and iPad on iOS or iPadOS 26.0 or later. KJV, ASV, NKJV, and NASB 1995 are free and bundled for offline reading. Local study does not require an account.

Frequently asked questions

How do I sync my study data across devices?

Behold account sync is optional and uses Berean Studios' Supabase-backed service. It is available when you have an eligible Berean entitlement and are signed in with your Behold account. The app can sync supported annotations, voice notes, ink drawings, memorization cards, prayer requests, reader preferences, and translation-library state.

Local reading and study do not require an account. Supabase is Behold's sole cloud-sync backend.

Where is my study data stored?

Study data is stored inside Behold's private app container on your device. If you enable eligible Behold account sync, supported categories are also stored in your account through Supabase. Passage-note reports you deliberately submit are sent to Berean Studios for editorial review. See the Privacy Policy for the complete data map.

What happens if I delete and reinstall Behold?

Removing the app removes Behold's local data from that device. If eligible Behold account sync was active, sign in again with the same account and confirm your entitlement and sync settings so supported data can return. Data that existed only on the deleted installation cannot be recovered by Berean Studios.

Which translations are available?

KJV, ASV, NKJV, and NASB 1995 are currently free and bundled for offline use. Reading, search, and translation comparison do not contact API.Bible. Behold contacts API.Bible only when you request optional Audio Bible discovery or playback.

What does The Berean include?

The Berean is an optional upgrade that opens Behold's complete visual library and optional cross-device sync. The reader, four offline translations, and core study tools remain available without it. Monthly, annual, and lifetime purchase options may be offered; Apple shows current availability, trials, and regional pricing before purchase.

How do I cancel a subscription?

On your Apple device, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, select The Berean, and follow Apple's cancellation instructions. Deleting a Behold account or uninstalling the app does not cancel an Apple-managed subscription.

How do I request a refund?

Apple handles App Store billing and refunds. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the purchasing Apple Account, and select the relevant Behold purchase.

What can I export?

Supported individual annotations and study items can be exported as Markdown, PDF, square images, or story images. Behold does not currently claim a complete bulk export of the entire notes and highlights library.

How do I delete my Behold account?

While signed in, open Behold's account or sync settings and choose the delete-account action. Review the confirmation carefully: the flow removes your Behold account and synced Behold account data and may clear local app data on that device. It does not cancel Apple-managed subscriptions.

What anonymous analytics does Behold use?

Behold asks you to save an analytics choice during onboarding. Analytics remain disabled until that choice is saved. If enabled, Behold sends first-party event names and coarse, whitelisted properties. It does not send notes, prayers, search text, exact passages, account identifiers, advertising identifiers, or device fingerprints. You can turn analytics off in Behold's privacy settings.

How should I report a bug?

Email support@bereanstudios.com with the device model, OS version, Behold version, what you expected, and what happened. A screenshot is useful when it does not contain private study or account information.
