Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Come Behold app and the comebehold.app website ("Services") provided by Berean Studios LLC ("we," "us"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms.
1. License to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Come Behold app on Apple devices tied to your Apple ID, subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service. You may not redistribute, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or extract bundled app content except as permitted by applicable law.
2. Subscriptions and purchases
"The Berean" unlocks subscriber features and licensed/bundled content made available to paid users, including visual references and subscriber Bible translation access where offered. All payments, billing, renewals, refunds, and subscription cancellation are handled by Apple through the App Store.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the price shown in the App Store unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancel anytime in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your Apple device.
- Refunds are issued by Apple, not by us. Request refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Lifetime purchases provide one-time access to the included entitlement level unless Apple grants a refund or these terms are violated.
3. Your study content
You retain ownership of study content you create in Come Behold, such as highlights, notes, prayer requests, voice notes, memorization cards, and reports. You grant us the limited permission needed to operate the Services you choose to use: storing synced Come Behold account data, processing support requests, and reviewing submitted passage-note reports. 4. Authored content and editorial stance
Come Behold's authored content is written from a dispensational, premillennial, young-earth, grammatical-historical perspective. We do not present other interpretive frameworks as equivalents within the authored content. This is an editorial choice, not a claim against other traditions. You are free to disagree with our framing.
5. Bible translations and third-party content
KJV and ASV are included offline. NASB 1995 is bundled for Berean subscribers and may be subject to publisher terms, attribution, fair-use reporting, and access limits. Licensed Bible usage may be reported through API.Bible / American Bible Society. You may not copy, export, scrape, redistribute, or commercially reuse Bible translation text or other bundled content outside the app unless the applicable rights holder permits it.
6. Visual references
Come Behold visual references are artistic illustrations inspired by biblical text and historical context. They are not photographs of historical events and may include artistic interpretation.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to access another user's iCloud, Come Behold account, or synced data
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code or protected content beyond what is permitted by applicable law
- Resell or commercially distribute the app or its bundled content
- Submit reports, feedback, or support requests that are unlawful, defamatory, abusive, or contain another person's private information without permission
8. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all study data will be retained without loss. Maintain your own backups of study work that is important to you.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Berean Studios LLC, its officers, members, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, study material, or profit arising from your use of the Services. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim or (b) one hundred US dollars.
10. Termination and account deletion
You may stop using the Services at any time by uninstalling the app. Signed-in users may delete their Come Behold account in the app. Account deletion removes synced Come Behold account data and local app data on that device, but it does not cancel Apple-managed subscriptions. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.
11. Trademarks
Come Behold™ and Berean Studios™ are trademarks of Berean Studios LLC. Use of these names or logos for promotional, commercial, or app-store purposes requires written permission.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Services after a change indicates your acceptance where permitted by law.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State in which Berean Studios LLC is registered, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that State, except where applicable consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
